Content guidelines
Dristikon is a gentle place. These guidelines keep it that way without flattening honest emotion.
What we welcome
Original poetry in Hindi, Bengali, Assamese or English. Grief, anger, loneliness, desire and doubt are all welcome when written with care.
What we decline
Work copied from another writer, song lyrics reproduced without permission, hate speech, content targeting a private individual, sexual content involving minors, and anything that encourages self-harm or violence.
Sensitive themes
Poems about loss, mental health and addiction are allowed and often the most valuable writing here. We may add a gentle content note or decline work that reads as instruction rather than expression.
Moderation
Every public submission is reviewed before it appears. There are no public comments on Dristikon; readers respond with emotional reactions only. Any published poem can be reported, and reports are reviewed by a moderator.
How you are credited
You choose whether a featured poem carries your real name, a pen name, no name at all, or whether it may be featured externally at all.
